Chevron - Manctronix

Balkan Vinyl’s Kanlab series follows up releases from Suddi Raval and Acidulant with this one from hardware wizard Chevron. Two tracks of analogue acid with Manctronix on the A side with a breakbeat rave vibe.

Classic of the Week

Sleezy D - I’ve Lost Control

The first Acid House record to be released on vinyl in 1986, this was the only solo release by Sleezy D’s Derrick Harris, although he did later coproduce several records with other artists including Marshall Jefferson & Full Intention.

Ladytron - Seventeen (Soulwax Mix)

OK, you got me, this one is not Acid House, but I have played it on the radio show and it’s one of the greatest remixes of all time for me. Back in 2002, Soulwax were transitioning from a rock band into an electronic duo and nowhere do those opposing influences shine more effectively than this one.

Gig of the Week

I Love Acid return to Edinburgh for the first time in many many years.

Jackhammer host at The Bongo Club and none other than Luke Vibert headlines with Posthuman in support in the main room.

Upstairs Stepback Records hold it down with Nightwave and Jackhammer residents Keyte and Wolfjazz.

Not one to be missed for sure.

As always, you can hear the radio show on Wednesdays at 5pm GMT/BST on Underground Kollektiv, Thursdays 5pm GMT/BST on Data Transmission, Saturdays at 11pm GMT/BST on Radio Roadhouse and new episodes hit the podcast every Friday morning.
